Homebuyer Education (Online)
Take the Homebuyer Education course from the comfort and safety of your home! It is an important tool for learning about the home-buying process. In fact, many banks require this course for mortgage approval. Spend a day learning how to calculate your housing affordability, review purchase offer documents, and understand the value of a thorough, pre-purchase home inspection. It will also grant you access to the following resources:
Down Payment and Closing Cost Assistance grants and loans
The Homebuyer Education certificate, which is valid for one (1) year

In-Person 8-hour homebuyer education class
Join us at our Rochester location for a day of learning all about homeownership! Once a month, we offer our comprehensive 8-hour homebuyer education class in-person. We typically have a team of experts available to provide you with lots of information and answer all your questions. These typically include mortgage bankers, real estate agents, home inspectors, and real estate attorneys. Come join us for a valuable learning experience! You’ll come away with access to down payment and closing cost assistance grants and loans, as well as a Homebuyer Education Certificate, valid for one year. The class fee is $75.00. All classes are held at 570 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
