UB H.O.M.E. Program
UB H.O.M.E. (Home Ownership Made Easy) is a hybrid grant + loan purchase-assistance program for full- and part-time UB faculty and staff who are looking to purchase a one- or two-family home near the University’s South Campus. Scroll down for information.
UB H.O.M.E. (Home Ownership Made Easy) Program
This program includes up to $7,500 in down-payment and closing cost assistance is available, dependent on the home’s location within the program’s boundaries.
Through the generosity of the UB Foundation, a portion of this special financing is deferred and forgiven after 5 years of continuous owner-occupancy — never to be repaid. The remaining portion, a WSNHS deferred-payment loan with 0% interest, up to $2,500 (+ closing costs and recording fees) is due in full upon sale or transfer of the property. No monthly payments are required at any time.
Unlike our other Down Payment Assistance options, you do not need to be a first-time homebuyer to participate. Even better, this program carries no household income restrictions!
To qualify for the UB H.O.M.E. Program you must enroll and complete the agency’s homebuyer education course. Eligible homes are located within the defined boundaries of the Program Map:
